When you are tired of the City of Bath, relax in Wiltshire, where ancient monuments and stone circles abound. Stonehenge, Silbury Hill and Avebury are only short drives away from your base.

If you like country houses, visit Longleat the residence of the Marquis of Bath (12 miles away) or Bowood where in the right season you can view the rhododendrons.

There are local shopping facilities in Trowbridge, but you might want to go to Swindon where the Great Western Designer Outlet will allow even the most avid shopper plenty of therapy.

If you like walking we are 20 minutes walking distance from the Kennet and Avon Canel. Staverton Marina is located a mile and half from us.

Further afield - make Paxcroft Cottage your base whilst you visit Poole and Bournemouth only 1- 2 hours drive away. Somerset is only just over the border with Wells and Glastonbury about three quarters an hour drive. To the North are the Cotswolds. We can be your centre for your whole trip.
